This was a lot of fun during the dark, cold days of winter past. It sure put a spark in my shoes!! Radio interviews- fuss and flurry- I met Lisa M. that was a pleasure. It was by phone but she was a fire cracker and full of diva warmth and sincerity.

I started the Wedding Guide in Toronto, where I was residing back in 1990. The first issue was the most profitable and largest one in the franchise's history and to date has not been broken. Today, we are the area's official bridal planner and interactive website. Now serving local brides for over 16 years, I have loved every minute of this journey and like being called the Wedding Lady, who knows!
Moving home to Windsor with my 4 year old and my husband John, we started the guide here and also…

Ok, Ok - I know - I'm white for a white girl (I hear that all the time) so you are probably wondering why I am interested in black history month...unless you know me well and then your asking what I am going to be up to! :-)
For the sake of those that don't know me let me fill you in. I live in Windsor and Detroit and everyday that I get to be involved in my community is an honour. You see, where I live over 40,000 freeing slaves found freedom. Uncle Tom's Cabin is just a short drive from my ho…

Well the title says it all.....but as women do we really know how too? How do you go about embracing yourself? This has been a huge struggle for me to be able to embrace myself, and my body. I look forward to hearing from you and hearing how each of you do embrace yourself/body and/or from those who struggle to embrace yourself/body.

“I know I thought it was impossible too.”
I was asked to observe a day of silence and journal about the experience for a training course I was participating in. My first reaction was this would be impossible given my line of work and the fact that I have two small children. Like most busy women, my weekends also involved commitments. So I must admit I was a bit skeptical if I could realistically accomplish this task. I discussed it with my husband and he encouraged me to follow through.…

A conversation over lunch yesterday with some dear friends surrounding integrity has been resonating with me ever since. We were discussing the amount of people willing to lie, cheat, beg, borrow and steal just to get ahead in life.
Over the last couple of months I have been faced with numerous instances where people's integrity was in severe want. It's been aching in my heart at the amount of people who willingly accept a low level of integrity. I believe it starts with exaggerations then moves…

An estimated 14,000 women gathered at the nonprofit, nonpartisan conference held in the Long Beach Arena in Southern California yesterday. The event, which began 22 years ago as a government initiative for female small business owners and working professionals, has grown into the largest woman's forum of its kind in the United States.

I’ve been up and down the ladder of success so many times, I’m getting dizzy.
The first time I climbed, I literally flew to the skies in my dream job as a flight attendant, great while it lasted but massive layoffs after four years sent me spiraling back down to the first rungs. What I found at the bottom was an opportunity to go study in the south of France while the airline di…
