A great book that I would recommend is "What colour is your parachute". I used it at a time when I was in your same situation and I found it helpful.

I saw on one of those Organizational Shows that they took photographs of the artwork and kept it in folders so that way it minimized the clutter and you can showcase the "special" ones in frames or in an album.
