Caught Between a Dream and a Job

I haven't read the book yet but what I know is that I have HUGE dreams. Don't get me wrong I happened to L-O-V-E my current job. Not because it's perfect but because I am fortunate to be representing a product that I believe can help the struggling automotive industry in every way. Anything that helps people motivates me and so I feel blessed.

That said, when I left for Bible College it was with dreams of first working with the homeless and then going to Africa to build orphanages. I did work with the homeless but my dream of making an impact in Africa is on hold. (for now) I can't wait to read this book.

I learned that it's A-ok to have all the gut feelings and BIG DREAMS that I've had for years. I learned that it's ok to dream and dream BIG! The book helped me define what some of my thoughts/aspirations were, and helped me to write them out and see them on the paper in black and white.

This is NOT a job search style of book. It is more of a life, and fulfilling life type of book. You actually write in this book, and complete excercises and really think hard about yourself. Get our your highliters and pens, pencils and prepare for a very enjoyable inner and outer learning experience. One that will get you off the couch and learning, growing and researching instead. This book will actually get you excited about life again, (in case you're not all ready).

Why shouldn't we be successful? Why shouldn't we be successful with what is inside of us all ready? Meaning, our giftings, callings, knowledge, skills and experiences. Everything we have experienced in life so far has prepared us for our BIG DREAM(S). Even the hardships, actually.....especially the hardships. We go through valleys in order that we may share with someone else when their turn comes.

I'm obviously a bit behind :) I"m just reading this now. This book sounds very interesting and may be just what I need. I'm currently working through the book "The Artist's Way" to help me make some discoveries. Perhaps this will be my next book. I would be interested in doing a discussion about it if there is any other interest.
