Comment on About Karolyn Hart by Kim Clouse

The way people approach life and their thinking is what chooses their destiny. If we think one person is small by themself and we need to attract more to create a positive action, then saying one can only do what one can do and no more is a negative. There is always something one can do. Even the most minute thing can sometimes change the way thousands think. Being a Christian as well, I realize free will comes into play. I agree with the statement personally, but I also believe Mary's statement that people were never meant to do anything by themselves. Just a Dad passing through who happened to see this wonderful site. KC

I have been in the Windsor-Detroit area for most of my life (with the exception of short educational stints in London and Montreal and work in Stratford and Niagara on the Lake). No matter where I go, I seem to come back for one reason or another....

The Wedding Guide Windsor/Essex County, We've been following the glam trend since January 2009!!! Windsor, Ontario

When it comes to weddings this upcoming season, glam is written all over them. We saw this emerging trend in January and have been following it with interest. Fantasy meets weddings in a Hollywood-vintage style.

Luxury lounges are front and centre at receptions this season. Seating… Continue

I was chosen Deserving Diva #1 from www.deservingdivas.com - a great group in Montreal. here are their questions to me.

This was a lot of fun during the dark, cold days of winter past. It sure put a spark in my shoes!! Radio interviews- fuss and flurry- I met Lisa M. that was a pleasure. It was by phone but she was a fire cracker and full of diva warmth and sincerity.

A Universal Voice Within Us All

by Jackie Savi-Cannon As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close I felt it necessary to end it on a note of hope and strength. Usually people ask me to share my story as they find it inspiring. Don’t get me wrong; it’s a pretty good one but I feel compelled to begin with a [...]

Are your children’s clothes made with blood?

by Karolyn Hart I am looking out over a perfect fall day on Lake St.Clair. The sun is warming, the seagulls are playing in the wind, and the only word to describe what I am witnessing is “peace”. Yet my mind is a thousand miles away and flooded with images of children. Children who should be laughing, [...]

A Summer Holiday for Me

by Mary Lou Roe © My family holiday plans this summer were much the same as they were last year – day trips around Southern Ontario, visits to local markets, shops and towns. And, for one week in August, an annual trek to my sister and brother-in-law’s home in Killarney, Ontario for several days of [...]

Mom-ME? | When should we try for a second baby?

by Kathleen Cvitkovic How do you really know when you are ready for your second baby? I think the answer to that question varies from person to person. Some people say that it is better to space your kids apart while others think that kids closer together in age is the best way. I think the [...]

A Woman and Her Shoes

by Mary Lou Roe © A woman and her shoes. What’s with this unparalleled relationship? How is it that a woman can break-up with a boyfriend without shedding a tear but nearly unravel when a favorite pair of shoes has seen their last wearable day? I don’t have a brief answer for this. [...]

“The Perfect Shoes Are Ones Someone Else Wants to Stand In.”

Our shoes are that element of our wardrobe that can be practical, functional; transform a look or send a strong message. They are the punctuation to our fashion statement. Regardless if you are a fashion victim or not, you are saying something based on the shoes you choose to wear. We may not be able [...]

Why Leaving a Comfort Zone Hurts!

by Karolyn Hart I like to think of myself as a person who grabs life by the horns and courageously tackles anything. In my professional life I can say that I’ve consistently (and yes intentionally) thrown myself into areas that allowed me to grow. When I was 21 working at one of my first [...]
